We are all trying to get someone else to help someone out. Why don’t we start helping out each other

Forgive me if I'm breaking any rules, but, I believe a lot of us are on the same page but fighting and blaming each other a lot without even realizing it. We also seem to tell others to just seek state-driven services and aid without realizing that they are apart of the system too. I realized this after seeing the post about a pregnant woman who lost her job and is being blatantly harrassed by her previous employer. In no way is any of that OK, but we also tend to resort to simple solutions and answers such as “seek legal counseling.” We have to remember that not everyone has the financial means to afford a lawyer, nor much of the time or energy since most of that is taken away from our labor. Plus, those same people who have been “appointed” those tasks and jobs to help us are also swamped and exhausted by the system just as much as we are.

There's more power in numbers. Capitalism has socially bred us to believe that we are competitive. Yet naturally, humans are a cooperative species. Cooperation is needed now more than ever. Have a neighbor that just lost their job and needs help paying a bill? Offer to help out. See a coworker being blatantly picked on by the boss or manager? Speak up about it. Have a friend of a friend who just lost their apartment to a greedy landlord? Offer a place to stay until they find somewhere else. The people on top love to watch us struggle, it's what keeps us distracted while they get to live comfortably in the system. Don't feed into them.

The more we help each other out the more we don't need to depend on the greedy rich and the rest of the system to keep our bellies full and our bodies clothed at the end of the day. To be honest I don't feel quite comfortable with the thought of a few select people running my food supply, water I drink, roof over my head and clothes I wear. I guess it's like unionizing, but in real life? I don't know, I'm pretty young and probably don't know too much, but helping each other out is often demonized a lot in our current society and I don't get why. Have we become so blind to self-indulgence that we just wish the system catered to our needs more comfortably and efficiently? We would be giving in to our selfishness at that point.

I think the only work we should ever have to do is work together. Solidarity forever! Take it all down together!
