Talking to a lovely young lady today at a franchised hair salon today in US. I had remarked that I was actually happy to see they raised their prices, as it has become apparent to me that they are having trouble retaining staff over the last year or so. She told me that they were told by the franchise owner not to expect pay raises, as they had done a pay adjustment several months back. I took a couple of things away from that-
1.Don't assume as I did that the employees are benefiting at all from increased prices , even in the service industry
- It's not the Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk Billionaires that are Greedy AF. Even those beloved Small Business Owners don't mind exploiting workers.
