Antiwork

We are we past the point of survival and there’s no need for much labor due to automation.

Software developer here. At my last job, I worked for a corrupt company under a market called “Human Capital Management.” For two years, I automated reports. To make a long story short, I worked with a client and took a 10 hour/week manual process and reduced it down to a click of a button. I basically replaced one of their part time employees with the automation I had built. This made me realize that there's no need to labour, since most jobs, especially anything with business logic, can be easily automated with code. Oh, I can't forget to mention I quit. I didn't like how I built automations, that the company owned, and I was basically self coding myself out of my job.
