It was “only” a dispo job, but it was paying the bills, the tips and perks were nice. My coworkers were decent, management and HR sucked, which I thibk is apparent. Absolutely no warning, just wake up AFTER the store is open (9am), to that email (9:31am).
Even worse, for myself, I had taken 2 weeks off to handle my divorce and for my mental health, (with a doctor's AND therapist's notes to support this, after my manager started making me only work 3 11 hour shifts back to back, 3 days on, 4 days off a week with no justification), so they told me I didn't qualify for the severance pay due to having not worked the last two weeks despite my tenure. Been applying to jobs ever since I opened that and trying to qualify for unemployment now. It's such a nightmare.
