Went from “next in line” for team lead to a lead-less location

Been working a job since January and my former lead kept stating when she's gone I'll be nominated and most likely made team lead. Now our location is without a lead as “that isn't necessary”. Also, myself and the only other current staff person is expected to train new staff, place orders and more work that was formerly handled by the lead. No raises for this additional work, no compensation of any kind with these changes. Myself and the other current staff member have realized without a lead there's no paths for advancement and no replies when we ask for new positions that have advancement. I probably should point out that this location has zero management on site as well.
