Antiwork

Went to the gas station today and the line inside was long, maybe 10 people. I heard the normal complaints, “why is this taking so long”, “they should have more than one person at the registers”, etc…

As I get closer, the one employee (50+ woman) could barely move. She obviously had back problems or something that made it uncomfortable to even go a few steps behind and grab packs of cigarettes. I couldn't help but think that in any other developed country she could take time off, get good healthcare, take care of her injury and come back to her job. I know this woman is probably making less than $15/hr and having to come in and do everything with a bad back, probably making it worse every moment she is on her feet. It kills me seeing stuff like this and I thank this sub for making me aware of how truly terrible the “essential” workers have it in the “greatest country in the world”. Merica, fuck yeah!! Time for a revolution!
