Over the years, I have started several small businesses, but they have often lost money. I started them just because I wanted to do something fun and interesting, even if the business didn't make any profit. In the end, this did not work out. I realized I would need to change the way I operated. I didn't enjoy transitioning from a mindset of passion and dream to one of profit. I used to feel like I could spend my time and energy on projects I was interested in, rather than ones that would be financially successful. Soon, I found myself forced to deal with things that were not enjoyable so that I could continue working on projects that made me happy. This was not just a problem for me; it bothered my friends and peers as well. Some of them dreamed of the future an Universal Basic Income could allow. One in which people are able to develop their passions without needing to worry about making money. Society isn't quite there yet, and so I've often struggled to find gainful employment because at work and out in the world, I want to be of service to others in a way that feels sacred. I am seeking a career that will allow me to utilize my talents and work with others while also providing financial security. I want to help others and be involved in a career that can make a difference.
I feel that my search to find this opportunity is worth every effort.
