What do you guys think about this compensation structure? Exploring ideas for our startup.

What are things that could be better or we aren't thinking through? I know we will hit challenges on the full-stack dev side given the demand, but I am curious if there is a way to make this work. Salary Everyone in the same tier makes the same salary (starting salary expected to grow) Tier 1: CEO/CTO/CMO – $100K Tier 2: Art Director/Game Designer/Full-Stack Devs – $90K Tier 3: Social Media Manager/Artists – $80K The lowest salary will never go below $80K Everyone's salary, bonus, equity will be shown Checks & Balances The Tier 1 employee's salary can NEVER exceed 5x of the lowest paid employee of the company (frame of reference 20x in 1965 to 351x and more today) Rest of company anonymously votes on Tier 1 employee salaries Rest of company anonymously votes for hiring new employees before increasing salaries of Tier 1 employee (i.e improving work-life balance)…

    • Tier 2: Art Director/Game Designer/Full-Stack Devs – $90K
    • Tier 3: Social Media Manager/Artists – $80K
  • The lowest salary will never go below $80K
  • Everyone's salary, bonus, equity will be shown

Checks & Balances

  • The Tier 1 employee's salary can NEVER exceed 5x of the lowest paid employee of the company (frame of reference 20x in 1965 to 351x and more today)
  • Rest of company anonymously votes on Tier 1 employee salaries
  • Rest of company anonymously votes for hiring new employees before increasing salaries of Tier 1 employee (i.e improving work-life balance)
  • Anonymous voting of benefits and company policies by employees
