Just bought a Modello on my break at the bar/barista they have. We are a small cleaning company that cleans after construction and routinely cleans out contracts. This is my second time working on this (worked yesterday) for awhile and not too sure about things yet but I seen actual contractors up where we are drinking a beer in one of the rooms, I thought it was cool but my boss said no I can't drink on the job and the owner of the building was right at the table (which I didn't know) and he made me put it in his truck (helping me with rides).
I just think its stupid. Like all I'm doing is cleaning for 2 and a half more hours; I can handle one Modello and still clean. If anything actually help me work better but noo. Stupid ass rules. I get it, I understand, it's collateral damage for them, but it's fine; I'm 26, I been working since 8, I can drink a lil beer and be fine; especially when contractors can and whole contract things..
So what do you think? Do you think people that work labor jobs should be able to enjoy one lighter beer during a lunch break if they want to do so and of legal age? As long as they can price to be able to handle their shit, I don't see an issue…
Now I gotta feel judged, awkward and stupid for having my boss and owner see that and say that.
