What do you think is a livable wage?

For me personally, to afford mortgage, food, necessities, and luxuries. It would have to be bare minimum $60,000/yr, $5000/month or roughly $31.25/hr. Not including taxes. This is what I consider a livable wage. That's to purchase a Toyota Corolla sedan that is $300-400/month in car payments + 200/month in car insurance, $2500/month 20 year mortgage on a house as housing cost around $400k-500k starting. Now if we include income taxes — say the sate of Wyoming, the take home pay is $3944/month https://smartasset.com/taxes/wyoming-paycheck-calculator#9fUwoKK8jr $3944 – $2500 – $600 = $844 leftover $844 doesn't include food, water, heating, electricity. You are most likely going to have $300-400/month budget for luxuries $300-$400/month spending budget essentially for clothes, luxuries, etc.
