In light of the recent strike action by railway workers in the UK, it makes me sick to see the press demonising Trade Unions. Trades union campaigning has benefited every single British person. It was unions which fought for and won a minimum wage, maternity and paternity rights, pension provision, holiday and sickness entitlements. How are large swathes of the population ignorant of this?
