I would just love to know from any recruiters / hiring managers / HRs what is with the damn ghosting?
You interview someone and provide timing when they would hear back from you like today/tomorrow,Wednesday AM or my personal fave “get back to you shortly as we are urgently hiring”
then you just what? Drop off the face of the earth? Get sucked into another dimension? Did u leave the office get hit on the head and lose your memory A-La scooby doo??
I mean when ppl reach back out over and over (not because they are desperate but because they at least would like to be out out of their misery in the endless loop of checking their emails and being filled with anxiety) do you see those emails and just hit delete? All the while laughing manically? Are all those follow ups just set to go right in the trash bin ?
Is someone telling you not to respond?
I just don’t get how hard it is to just say “sorry we’re going with someone else”
