A lot of my former co workers were always adamant about doing their 2 weeks and whenever I hear about someone that didn't it's seen as a bad thing. Apparently it's so you're on good relations with your former employers and can use them as a go to reference. But I've met enough managers in different industries to know they're spiteful dicks. So is there any actual reason to hand in a notice rather than just quitting? Or is it just some bs made up to squeeze every last drop out of a worker?
