I keep seeing post about “I was fired or left my job and immediately found a job paying $40,000+ more each year”. Like how????? I'm in my mid-20's and have a degree and still only work low wage jobs. Currently getting paid the most I've ever been paid at $18 per hour. I feel like I have no real skills and don't know how to gain new skills. I get told I'm a hard worker and easy to get along with but when I look on indeed there are so many jobs that pay more but are too far away for someone who can't drive, require crazy hours, constantly on call, and in general lists skills I don't have. How do you get a better job, because If I have to work I at least want to not be making poverty wages.
