What percentage of the rich were born into wealthy families?

I feel like this fits in with the anti work sentiment and I’m really curious about something regarding American wealth. There’s this big percentage touted around that only 21% of millionaires “inherited” their money. This is incredibly careful, manipulative wording. I can’t find any information regarding how many rich Americans were born into wealthy families. By that I mean they received parental support, education, sponsorships and economic opportunities that they otherwise would not have had because their family was wealthy. I don’t give a shit if someone put the money directly in their hands. To say most millionaires are “self-made” is so insanely disingenuous. However, when trying to research this, all the information is incredibly curated for results with that cherry-picked language. It’s so frustrating because it another ploy to sell the “American dream” yet it’s so thinly veiled it might as well be cellophane.
