Context: I am an accountant at a bank. I got an opportunity to do some onsite playtesting for a videogame (can't say which) for 3 days at the end of this month. I'd like to use my sick time for this rather than vacation or “personal” time. We only get 2 days of personal time and I don't quite have 2 full days accrued I think if I'm upfront they'll have me take my personal days and the 3rd be a sick day. Any ideas as to how to convince them to let me use sick time?
