I am a vendor/merchandiser for a snack company. I use my personal vehicle to travel to about 2-3 grocery stores a day to stock our crap I mean snacks on my route. Naturally, a huge requirement of this job is having reliable transportation.
Well, I get paid very VERY little, live in an expensive city, you know how it goes, and then gas prices became what they are, and I literally can't keep enough gas in my tank to make it to each of my stores.
I operate with about $24 dollars in the bank, and need about $60 worth of gas every week. I really need help.
In this situation, would I tell my boss that I literally can't afford to keep coming in to work with what I'm paid now/ is that how I earn a raise?
Or do I have to seek assistance elsewhere, outside of the company I work for?
(This is the only job I can get because I only have a Bachelor's degree in communications, abundant leadership and community service experience, and speak 3 languages)
