As per the article here. Looks like many businesses in Australia (I know the US does this too) are starting to install this on their company machines. But here's the kicker. They are leaving it installed when they are making people go back to the office! This is such a massive overreach of power imo. Even at home its a giant invasion of privacy if they are taking pictures of you without your consent. What if your kid walks in the room and they get a picture of that? I'd make sure there would be hell to pay if that was the case.
They mask it behind “pRoDuCtIvItY” Which is the biggest load of bullshit i've ever heard. It's about power and control of your employees. Nothing else. Measuring your employees efficientcy down to the second achieves absolutely nothing and if you are that much of a tight ass then just pay a software development team to automate everything in your company if you want to save that much time on shit.
Has anyone had this stuff installed on their company PC? What was your reaction, What did others do in your company? Were there mass walkouts or did anyone quit at all? Did they try to keep it installed when they made you go back to the office?
