What is it genuinely like being a “bad employee”? I have been trying to be a good employee at every job I’ve ever had and it always results in the company expecting more from me without ever giving me more in return. I just want to be the person that shows up, does a fine job, then leaves – but I don’t know how that will change the work atmosphere. But showing up everyday to “try my best” and “go above and beyond” for a strenuous job barely paying my bills sucks big time and wears away at my mental health. But will worrying about the repercussions of being the “bad employee” be worse?
Any advice or personal experiences with this?
