This happened a few years ago. I let her know i was going to be gone for a few weeks and id understand if my job wasnt waiting for me when i got back. I was open about why. When i got out and turned my phone on, it BLEW UP with texts from my boss demanding that i come into work (i didnt even have access to my phone in rehab).
I felt horribly guilty until i got to the text in the title. Then i just quit.
