I worked at a very well known technology retail ‘fruit shop’ In their biggest branch in the UK. Dude harassed me when we joined at same time sending me paragraphs on end saying he wanted to lose his virginity to me and would follow me to the tube station. They didn’t do anything. He even passed probation before me and mine got extended 🤡
Few years later, I heard a dude I worked with briefly at a previous store, who got drunk on a night out and forced himself onto me, was trying to get hired and warned one of the recruiters. They said not to worry and he probs wouldn’t get through since it’s hard. Imagine my horror when I go downstairs one day and he’s in the staff room. Reported it to the highest manager straight away who lied to me saying she’ll speak to his manager and even made it out like I was OVER REACTING? Months went by and I almost quit. He would shout my name down corridors trying to banter with me making me feel so uncomfortable. I finally got the strength to ask his manager what the update was and they had no clue. He worked there for about 4 months. I dreaded work everyday.
