Last Friday I put in a 3 week notice fire my job, saying that I will finish my contract with them at the end of October. I just signed a lease that would’ve had a long commute, and they were unwilling to do hybrid work. (Although when I was hired, I was told the position was going to be hybrid). On Monday, they called me in to let me go as they wanted someone more dedicated to the company since they knew I didn’t want to stay and commute.
What is the point in giving a notice then???? If I never said anything and dipped right after my contract ended, I would still have those 3 weeks pay. Lesson learned, I will not give a company that courtesy ever again.
