i just ordered pizza hut and they are reccomending i tip to “avoid unnecessary contact” whatever that means.
whats the strategy here? from what i understand the cook crew has to be paid at least minimum wage. its a awful but i always thought tipping was for servers and drivers that they can legally pay almost nothing. are they tricking me into paying their workers a fair wage for them?
and i don't quite trust anything going through debit. how can i be sure corporate isn't just pocketing money i want to give to their underpaid employees?
edit: the tip reccomendation comes from ordering online. no employee directly obliged me to tip.
