i was just thinking about this. since i started non retail jobs (i’m 24 so about 18) my jobs have always been 8-5 (or 9-6 equivalent) but we still talk about a “9-5”. i’m only paid for 8hrs so 1hr unpaid lunch. but like, wtf. i hate this already as is and now it’s an extra hour we just forget about in our anti work talks?? no ask. just pissed
