When employer does company wide anonymous survey, how/do you respond?

Company review time and we are being asked to do a “confidential and anonymous” survey. 1) I don’t buy the bullshit that it’s anonymous, they are well aware of who each survey belongs to. 2) I don’t think it even matters what they say, nothing is changing in a positive way 3) These are not done for positive reasons but rather to access the “bad apples” With that said, and feel free to correct me on any points that may not be valid, but is there even a reason for these surveys? Call me paranoid, but I feel these things are more useful for negative reasons; reduction in force, who isn’t happy, who is the trouble makers etc. Has anyone ever worked somewhere that had a survey and something positive happened? Or is this a simple “just click delete” and ignore? I also understand that external vs internal surveys may…
