I'm probably saying a lot of what is being discussed now. I'm not disagreeing with the effectiveness of a strike. Take for example of France. When they strike they are able to shift things in their favor and quickly. Prove me wrong. When Americans strike over incredibly important notes, it's just…talk. We get amped up for 48 hours on “We're walking out on Monday!” and “We're protesting outside [insert Republican name here] house until we get our rights back!”
That's great, but it'll happen on a weekend. Best case scenario it'll take place during a weekday and fizzle out after a week. We need a strike but it's not consistent. Will this happen..? No. We're all tied down to our jobs. Can't afford to lose that job because mortgage/rent, a family, bills, etc.
The Courts realize this and know that we are all talk with no legitimate action.
“We need to strike!”
Then organize it. Someone be that leader and stop kicking the can down the road.
“Well you do it!”
I can't. 1) I'm not a leader and 2) I have a mortgage and can't afford to lose my job.
The Courts are going to keep pushing their agenda with no actual action.
Realistically the only legitimate option is to vote vote and vote. And hope it matters.
