I am just sitting here, applying for jobs, from Glassdoor to Indeed.. every single job has like 2-3 star reviews.. Where are the good companies to work for anymore?
Background, I work in insurance, my company is going through some shifting where we are basically being put under a microscope. We are way slower than this time last year, leading me to believe that they want to do layoffs, but instead of layoffs they are legit firing people so they don't have to pay severance.
if you know anything about insurance is that if you review 100% of someone's actions, you will find mistakes, everyone makes mistakes. It's insane to think we would be perfect, they target the high performers in this and just watch us like a hawk, which creates such unneeded anxiety, the pressure is just building and building either way
I can't for the life of me find a good company in my field, is this the new norm? work for shitty companies until I die of a heart attack by 40?
