Every job I've worked at, they've been adamant that employees are not allowed to sit. One job I worked at made a girl who was 8 months pregnant stand on concrete for 8 hours a day. It's absolutely ridiculous and I cannot for the life of me understand why they're so against us sitting.
I have lower back problems, and my manager gave me permission to sit if I need to relieve the pain. Now, he's banning me, and everyone, from sitting anywhere at any point.
I don't care if it looks “un-inviting” or “unprofessional”. We're human beings and it's cruel to make us stand 24/7
I'm just so tired of how we're treated like we don't have needs
Edit: I forgot to mention that the office staff, who gets paid triple the floor staffs wage, get to sit all day everyday
