I get that there are some places that could go out of business, but there are other places that are thriving! For example, instead of grabbing lunch at the Chick-Fil-A near my office, I'll order delivery from a Chinese restaurant near my apartment when I'm feeling like a low-effort lunch.
Also, the benefits (health benefits of being able to cook food for yourself when you like, take a nice walk or bike ride around your neighborhood in the time you otherwise would have been commuting, less stress, better work/life balance, benefits of not using as much gasoline, etc.) seem to far outweigh the negatives, from an individual AND community perspective. Is it just that he's prioritizing commercial real estate friends? Is that really enough to try to disrupt everyone else from living their preferred lifestyle?
