In the 3.5 years I’ve worked for this place, I’ve never called in sick. I’ve WORKED sick (pre-covid) and only took sick leave afterwards due to a car accident. My bosses aren’t fighting me or anything, but the disappointment in their voice was palpable. What has capitalism and modern society done to us to make us feel ashamed of illness?!?!
