I have a job in a training role, and I work in client services. I work for a pretty big company, but my two managers are directors who report to the President of the company. They both have Ph.D's, both of them. Why, why. Why the fuck do I have to take time out of my day (no less than 10 minutes each time) to explain to you my reasoning and decision process for answering and helping a customer for an email you are copied on.

Me: Hi Manager, I called her after looking into it. The email she sent had attachments for receipts that are outdated and have already been received. We took care of that last week.
Manager: No, it says *copies the email like I can't fucking read*
Me: Yes, I realize that, but if you read the actual original email, not her forwarded correspondence from this morning, you'll see what she is referring to.
Manager: Oh, I guess that makes sense.
Me: That's why I called her to verify.
Manager: Probably not a bad idea.
Me (internally): no because I'm good at my fucking job.
Honestly, it's like, if you would take 2 minutes to read and actually understand what is going on instead of waste 10 minutes of my day we might actually get shit done around here. Imagine that.
