Why is it that people still call others lazy or unproductive for liking to play video games in the year 2022? I honestly don't get it. But sometimes when I mention that I play video games as a hobby either online or sometimes in real life people will tell me how that is a waste of time or that I need to be productive. They will sometimes say things like “You spend that many X hours playing video games after work. Why don't you get a second job?” In my mind I am like “Bitch, I don't even want to work my current job, let alone two of them. The same thing also happens with relationship advice, for example I am currently single. But when I ask questions on how to start dating or meeting women and I mention that I play video games. I frequently get some commenters on my other account telling me that I need to drop gaming or do some other form of productive activity. I think that this advice is BS and I personally believe that you can still be successful in life and still have a good healthy relationship and be a gamer at the same time. There are plenty of people who like to game and do just that. If the person is otherwise has a good social life, work life balance, and has enough time to want to play video games than why should it matter what he does in his free time?
