The title says pretty much what it means but I will give some examples that I have seen around.
Pizza place short staffed and employees are working 6 or 7 days a week 11-14 hrs a day. Why set boundaries 10hrs a day max and 4 or 5 days a week only if everyone was together on this employers would have no choice but to hire more people.
Or some people go and do everything they are told even though that is technically someone else job. Now you have one guy being a try hard doing the work of two people whereas if he just did his own job someone else would have to be hired to do that work.
The company not making money or losing money is not our problem. One of my coworkers said to me he treats he's jobs like he is lucky they hired him so he is just a yes man 100%. The delivery truck broke down so he used his personal vehicle the company is not paying him for that he just does it just cause. I just don't understand this mentality.
When I work I treat it as my company is paying for a product (labour) and I provided it I don't provide more labour than what I'm compensated for.
