I'm Management at my job. Not the Big Boss, but a boss nonetheless.
My boss is upset people are taking an extra 2 minutes on their breaks.
I'm like, “Yo, it's two minutes. Let it go.”
“No, it's time theft.”
“We're short staffed and we need every body we have. We can't afford to crack down on this.”
“They're literally stealing from the Company.”
“I'm here on my day off as well as three other people on their days off because we don't have staffing; do you really want to piss off the Staff right now?”
“It's not about pissing them off; it's about doing what's right.”
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I do not give a fraction of a fuck if my employees take a few extra minutes on their breaks because it doesn't fucking matter, and not only that, we're BEGGING for applicants. I'm about ready to get on the streets with a cardboard sign “Will hire at X if you have a pulse.” Not only that, but if the worst fucking thing my guys are doing is taking a few extra minutes to smoke, we're doing pretty fucking good. Like honestly, it's a Fast Food job, it's to be expected that people are going to milk their breaks and I'm cool with it. I do it too.
But no, now I'm expected to be a fucking Time Nazi about breaks to people who are working on their days off every week and I fucking refuse to do it. Fuck it. Fire me. I will NOT punish my employees for taking two extra fucking minutes to smoke, beat off, whatever the fuck they do, for a store that makes multiple millions a year in revenue.

Fucking fire me. I'll get a new job tomorrow, making more money (we pay the second lowest in town), for less responsibility (I could literally go to almost any other store and make more money as a normal worker, not even Management).
