“Why don’t you try to find contact to people, whose phone numbers we already have”

I'll try to keep information down to minimum here. So I started working with them 3 months ago. They told me I need to find ways to contact some people, to arrange meetings with them and sell them our product. I was like sure, so I started screening through LinkedIn, messaging random people, or directly those that we needed – but of course people aren't much responsive to people they don't know online, especially when they(we) want something from them. Especially when their website looks like shit and they don't want to invest money into it. So, this morning on the online meeting, I am saying it's not easy to get in touch with those people online through social media, because they are pretty important people to be checking their DM's on LinkedIN. And guess what happens next: My manager says, “wait, I think I've got some phone numbers” -…

And guess what happens next:

My manager says, “wait, I think I've got some phone numbers” – and sends me about 20 phone numbers, most of them direct people that I needed to reach for the last 3 months.
