I interviewed with a company 2 and a half weeks ago. It went great, and the manager said he’ll hire me as long as the background check comes back and that it should take 3-7 days. So I called his office the following week and asked for an update and he says there isn’t any update and it’s still being processed but the offer is ready and he will have me come in when it’s complete for training. Another week goes by and I personally message him as I still haven’t heard anything and he tells me that he’s sorry for how long it’s taking but that it’s telling him its still being processed. That was 2 days ago.
I am extremely anxious abut this because I have no idea why it would take so long. I have no record, I didn’t lie on my resume, and I have been background checked before and it only took a few days. This is a job I really want and so I don’t want to lose out because of an error or an offer being rescinded, any suggestions? Thanks
