Why is there a need to create a culture of “family” at the workplace??!!

I work for a hospital in IT, and since COVID, we have been work from home all this time, and are continuing to do so, which is great. However, because of this, all the higher-ups mention during the entire staff monthly meetings that they are trying to find ways to maintain work from home while still having that “feeling of family” and collaboration. I mean, isn't that was our Teams meetings are for…..to collaborate??!! I have a family and prefer to keep my work at work. I have many “work friends” here, and enjoy talking with them, but if I quit tomorrow, I know those contacts would fade away, and I'm okay with that. Why can't we just do our work, do it damn good, and call it a day?
