Just curious. Obviously nobody wants to go first in a negotiation, so they want you to go first. I see a lot of people recommending that posters in this channel should not interview for jobs if they won’t give the salary first. But why not tell them your target, rather than just walking away? Seems like it doesn’t make sense to turn down interested opportunities outright, when you can at least see if they will pay what you want?
