So, I've been wondering about this for a while on this sub. All of the image posts here have company names blanked out and I'm wondering why. I checked the rules, and I did not see anything that prohibited including company names.
It seems to me that this sub would be much more effective at safeguarding workers and promoting change if more posts included company names. That way we would know who to avoid.
Is this something in the Reddit ToS? It's not like company names are confidential, they are public knowledge. The communications posted herein does not contain trade secrets, so that is not an issue.
I am sure some of you will say “fear of reprisals,” but since most of the posters have quit that job, that is only a concern for a few. Also, it would likely to be considered wrongful termination, if someone did get fired for posting here. And those who might be subject to reprisals could just continue to hide the names, while everyone else could pay them.
Anybody know what the deal is? Any mods want to jump in here with info?
This is in no way meant to be a s*tpst. I am sincerely curious, especially since I want to avoid bad acting companies and cannot do so without knowing who they are.
