Why unions are on the rise.

I find it very interesting how unions are on the rise after slowly falling for decades. Is this proof that corporations and politics cannot be trusted to do the right thing and balance workers well being and profits? Federal min wage continues to be $7.25 since 2009. The federal reserve continues to be slow at economic decisions, maybe out of political retaliation fear? Healthcare continues to be a luxury that is a considered a buy in membership to have. Managers continue to hang our employment over our heads like life is a game and we are all pawns. Athletes cannot gamble out of fear of throwing a game in their financial favor but politicians are free to buy stocks and make laws that can favor their financial favor. People are being manipulated with seemingly low interest college loans for degrees that don't offer them value jobs. Creating a debt for…


I find it very interesting how unions are on the rise after slowly falling for decades. Is this proof that corporations and politics cannot be trusted to do the right thing and balance workers well being and profits?

Healthcare continues to be a luxury that is a considered a buy in membership to have.

Managers continue to hang our employment over our heads like life is a game and we are all pawns.

People are being manipulated with seemingly low interest college loans for degrees that don't offer them value jobs. Creating a debt for life program.

Inflation and medical costs continue to rise faster than wages, making the poor more poor every day.

Our ideas on how the capitalist system has been the same since the the 1940's and we are chastised if we believe that the structure of the system needs a 2022 face lift. 80 year old beliefs on work and employee relationships.

Why do we continue to have to place out age, gender, ethnicity, and race on applications if its equal opportunity?

Why do employers still get away with firing or harassing employees when discussing wages, asking for personal days, or withholding overtime pay? Sure there is a fine but its so small that these companies continue to do it.

I wanted to open this thread to discuss more problems with the capitalist vs employee relationship. Is there a mutual ground that we can meet where we say: I don't like it but at least I feel I am being fairly treated ?
