Why you should never tip in the US

If an employee doesn't make at least minimum wage with tips the employer is forced to pay them the difference so they are making minimum wage. It is the law. So don't tip, the employee still makes minimum wage. Ethically this is not the best solution but it does put the onus on the employer which is what we want. (Minimum wage should be increased to a living wage but that's a different discussion)
