Obligatory English is not my first language.
Like the title says, I just started a job 2 days ago at a convenience store and the day I had the interview, I applied to another job with a much higher salary and more benefits thinking why not? Even if I didn't get it at least I tried.
Well today while working, I got a call from the better job for an interview and it was in the evening. So after I got off work, I went for the interview and got the job and the interviewer knows that I'm currently working so they told me to contact them after I had quit and are available. So I've written my resignation letter and am ready to hand it in tomorrow.
Even if I'm only 2 days in and still in training at my current job, and hasn't gotten any ID, or able to clock in properly (they don't use the traditional punch cards), will I have to do the 2 weeks notice procedure? Because I don't think I have to because I'm still in training but I'd like some opinions from other people as well. And would it be an asshole thing to do to just quit? Especially after they've been so accommodating.
Tbf I will still quit because well, the other job pays more and has more benefits. But I guess I just wanted some opinions cause I kinda feel like an ass for doing this but also need the better job.
