For anyone in the sights of Winter Storm Elliott, especially in the northern states with the dangerous sub zero temps and awful windchills:
If you’re lucky enough to not be forced into work the next couple of days, take steps to ensure that you’re not putting other workers into dangerous conditions to provide for you.
Don’t order food delivery so the drivers can stay off the roads and out of the cold. It would be great if every pizza delivery driver spent their entire mandatory shifts sitting in the restaurant kitchen because no orders are coming in.
Stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. If you didn’t Christmas shop, tough shit. People can get their gifts late. Don’t put first responders at risk because your dumbass went into the ditch for something that could’ve waited.
Don’t put other workers at risk just for your convenience.
