Wishing I would’ve compared salaries sooner.

I just learned that 3 years ago I trained an employee who started off being paid 4$ more an hour than me and still does to this day. I’m gonna send an email to my boss first thing in the morning addressing this. Any of you guys have advice for me on how to approach it??
