Without going into the long story again, I abruptly left a job last Monday. I left on my lunch break and didn't go back. Reason being manager displayed hostility and aggression toward me during a 3 month review, it was a small company, and my gut told me to get out of there.
That being said, I waited until lunch (so so hard) after that conversation as it would have been impossible to leave without her seeing and there would have been a huge confrontation. I know she was seeking more confrontation so I left at lunch.
She tried calling me. I ignored the call. She emailed me the next day some snarky email and demanding I tell her where something is that is quite visibly in the desk. I knew I was not coming back and hadn't been there for long. Everything I was working on is in the drawer or on the computer. Please don't tell me I should respond to her- I shouldn't. She can easily clean out my desk and find everything she is looking for and I do not feel after last week I need to communicate further.
I had a feeling she would do this. I have not been paid today. We are supposed to get direct deposit on the 15th and last day of the month. As per her email, she wanted to confirm I resigned on August 8th. That is proof I left 8 days into the pay period and need to be paid for those days.
I got rid of the little employment contract she gave me, she has my pay stubs. I didn't want to email her as again, she is withholding my wages so I contact her. I have emailed the owner. No response as of yet. But what do I do if they keep jerking me around? I'm in Ontario.
