Wondering what the point is

I’ll start by saying I like my workplace, I really do. They pay well, there’s a better work culture there than I’ve ever experienced, I’ve got nice coworkers, great benefits, and good upward mobility opportunities. Even here though I’m finding myself wondering how I’m supposed to live like this. 8-5 Monday-Friday with a couple scattered vacation days per year just doesn’t seem like any way to live. I’ve come off of a string of shitty jobs before this one since graduating college so thought I just needed to find the right workplace so I could settle in and build a career. Now I have a job I genuinely enjoy and realize that this just…sucks. How am I supposed to live like this five days a week every week for the rest of my life until I retire (if I even get to retire). What is even the point of life…

What is even the point of life if I spend the majority of my waking hours stuck behind a desk? I just have no idea where to even go from here with these thoughts. Fuck this norm we created.
