Work in a Seattle restaurant, we “don’t do breaks”?

I, m16, work in a restaurant in seattle. The minimum time I work per shift is 5 hours, but sometimes 6. Anyway, I have never gotten a break, and when I asked, I was told by the line cook that we “ don’t really do those here “ because we don’t have enough staff. This seems kinda questionably legal, and I’m not sure what to do about it. I would like to keep my job, as other than that it’s pretty good. Any advice is welcome!
