Since 2020 my employer (UK based) has actually been relatively great in letting us work from home however we like. I really like working from home, I spend two days in office a week just for the social aspect. Last couple weeks, senior management has started making noises about “people needing to remember WHERE we work” and “being more directive about having people in office”.
I'm not sure whether there's anything I can, or am willing to do. I'm just pretty sad at the prospect of this amazing period in my career coming to an end.
There is a strong union presence on site – is it worth talking to my union rep? Everyone I've mentioned this to has expressed their opposition to changing what they're currently doing.
