After they hired someone recently for a lesser role and more pay (I know because I do the payroll) I asked for a raise. I asked for 5k more and I would’ve been content. I would not have looked for other jobs because they’ve been really good to me in a rough spot in my life. They said no so I put applications that day. Today, one month later, I accepted a similar position for 32k more.
The best part is: I was going to give them 3 weeks notice to show some grace but my boss is out until next week so 2 weeks it is.
