Like the title says, Hr came into our factory and told us that we are being given the week of Thanksgiving and the week of and before Christmas off. They told us that if we wanted to we could use unemployment to cover those days or use our vacation time to cover. Being new (as a lot of us are) we don’t have vacation time yet so many of us will be filing for unemployment. But now there’s a rumor floating around that when we return to work those who filed for unemployment are going to be let go. Is that legal/is there anything I can do to assure I don’t get fired?
Hopefully this is the right place to post this.
Edit: I’m in Ohio working in a factory with no union if that helps.
